Make A Difference...One Swing At A Time
HISTORY and PURPOSE
In 2006 a group of women golfers from across America who now reside in Central Florida, had the idea to invite women from across the country for a golf outing for the purpose of networking and socializing.
During our early planning stages we decided we needed a more meaningful purpose. We agreed on a mission to support and mentor young minority women who were pursuing a career in professional golf. Our goal is to provide a professional and social network for women golfers while raising funds to realize our mission. One of the greatest challenges facing young minority golfers is proper training and finances to pursue their career. We want to provide some of the necessary support for these young women.
Since the inception of the SAA Member Program in 2006, we have accepted 64 members from across the country. Our membership represents enthusiastic women golfers, as well as women who do not golf but simply have a passion for and believe in our Mission.
We presently have members from the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Texas. These members represent beginner and veteran golfers, with handicaps ranging from 4 to 40.
Your membership will assist SAA in providing the much needed support to a minority female golfer who is aspiring to become a member of the LPGA tour.
